故事讲述达米恩（皮耶安东尼 饰）收到从台湾寄来的传票，要他继承他美籍父亲大卫·布鲁斯在台湾的遗产。为多了解未曾蒙面的父亲，达米恩独自前往陌生的台湾，并在公证人办公室里，第一次与他的同父异母哥哥绍文（凤小岳 饰）相遇，并得知他还有一位同父异母的弟弟逸生（埃利奥特·马尔韦齐 饰） 。为了继承遗产，韶文和达米恩穿越整个岛屿寻找逸生和大卫的现任太太。
